Searching for ABA Services?

You are here because you care about your babe. You are trying to figure out what to look for and what makes sense for you and your family. This is a huge decision, and you should take time before deciding where to commit. I hope that these questions can help you filter out which agencies align with your expectations of what services should provide and look like.

  1. Do you have a wait list? (If they do, proceed with caution.)
  2. What insurance do you take?
  3. How often is parent consultation expected to take place? (If they do not do any, run the other way. ABA agencies should want to give you the tools to eventually not need them anymore.)
  4. What is the BCBA to client ratio? (You want to be sure the BCBA is seeing your kiddo regularly to ensure goals are being implemented effectively.)
  5. How will you individualize therapy for my child?
  6. How long have most of your staff been in the field?

Remember, you are their parent and you can feel whether or not the agency is a good fit. It should be a warm, fun, and caring environment. Yes, they will work on things that are challenging for your kiddo, but your child should be happy to spend time with their therapist and should have great rapport. They should take the time to get to know your child so that they know how to connect and care for them. Sending lots of love as you navigate choosing an agency fit for your babe.

Love,

Melina ❤️
